Franciscan Resources for Children

St Francis of Assisi is a pretty amazing saint! Children especially are attracted to Francis through his love for all of God’s creation. He is often depicted being flocked by birds, patting a deer, or shaking hands with a wolf.

Perhaps the most delightful story of Francis would have to be his creation of the first ever Nativity scene in the Italian town of Greccio in 1223.

The following Resources For Children are intended as an initial guide for even the youngest children to get to know something of the wonderful life of Saint Francis. Suitable for the home or class room, these activities will enlighten children to see the reflection of God in all of his creation.
